Nerves, Swerves and Learning Curves

This week at Freerange marked the final five days of rehearsals and preparation for our Lion King Production!

The nerves are as high as skyscrapers and the members are swerving left and right and up and down corridors to ensure that all the props, costumes, lights and characters are without flaw!

The backstage crew running tirelessly to put up and take down backgrounds and foregrounds in a matter of seconds! The producer and editor working together to bring about a bloom between members and their performances. The director – as stressed as she may seem – keeping a cool and collected frame of mind that allows us all to be the best we can be!

Patience, voice projection and the usage of space on the stage were all key learning aspects in the theatre of Freerange.

Each member involved brings something new to the table and this results in a masterpiece ready for show night!

During this productivity, we learn that teamwork really does make the dream work. They say that a chain is as strong as its weakest link – well, at Freerange, it’s evident that we have no weak links, just links that make our chain as strong as can be! At least, that’s the way we see it.
